Dispute Foundation gets Caribbean representative

Martyn Bould, Chairman of Rider Levett Bucknall in the Caribbean, has recently been appointed, by the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), as the country representative for the Caribbean region for the next two years.

The DRBF was established in 1996 as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the avoidanc and resolution of disputes worldwide.    To provide advice and suggestions which are tailored for local conditions and practices.  The Foundation panel members are impartial reviewers with many years of local expertise.  The recommendations made by the DRBF are not binding, but are effective in avoiding long legal processes.

Main areas of responsibilities:

.           To raise the awareness of the Foundation within the region;

.          To organize public training sessions in order for organizations to gain greater understanding of the facilities that are available in addressing their needs in the avoidance of lengthy and costly legal processes;

.           To provide greater understanding of the mechanisms of the Foundation;

.           To promote membership to the organization;

.           To produce articles of interest concerning the region which will be circulate to all of the members.

Martyn said he was deeply honoured to be invited and would strive to promote the Foundation’s services throughout the region.
