Walking down the gorgeous Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands, it is amazing how many Olympians are preparing for the 21st annual Flowers Sea Swim.
Lounging on the white sugary sand, casually swimming up and down the coast staring down at the marine life, or just catching up on old times, the Olympic crowd is sizable. At least 24 Olympic swimming medals are accounted for by swimmers in the 1-mile fast sea swim along Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman.
Steve Barnicoat, Rebecca Soni, Gary Hall Jr., Conor Dwyer, Megan Jendrick, Ian Crocker, Brett Fraser, Shaune Fraser, Haley Anderson, Zsofia Balasz, Heather Roffey, and Andrew Mackay are populating the resort hotels in Grand Cayman in anticipation of the 1-mile race along the shoreline.

SONI, CROCKER, HALL JR, HALL SR AND MORE TO COMPETE IN GRAND CAYMAN SWIM
The 21st Annual Flowers Sea Swim event will be held on June 15th starting on Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands.
There are 900 swimmers entered in the one mile swim ranging from 8-80 years of age. The promoters made sure that the public knew that the event was for the ordinary swimmer, not just the elite, as you can see by the video posted on the flowers sea swim website at: http://www.flowersseaswim.com/
Those ordinary swimmers in the field will be joined by some elite names in the swimming world as Olympic gold medalists Rebecca Soni, Ian Crocker, Gary Hall Jr., Gary Hall Sr., Megan Jendrick, Brooke Bennett and Jessica Long will all be competing. Olympians Scott Goldblatt, Kristy Kowal, Brett Fraser, Shaune Fraser, Heather Roffey, Andrew Mackay, Haley Anderson and Darren Mew will also be in the field.
There is also a 5 km and 10 km event that will be happening on June 17th.
