Brazil, Spain, Mexico – FIFA Confed Cup 2013 on Sportsmax
The Confeds Cup will feature the biggest names in football including Brazil’s 57 million-euro striker Neymar, Spain’s Xavi and Iniesta, Italy’s Balotelli and Uruguay’s Luis Suarez among others. This opening match should particularly be an interesting clash, as Japan were the first team to qualify for the 2014 World Cup, while Brazil have the advantage of home soil and are energized from their recent 3-0 win over France in Friendly action.
SportsMax’s Marketing Manager Tanya Lee said: “SportsMax is definitely the home for football lovers for June and July, with live coverage of FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 from June 15 to 30 and the FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup from June 21 to July 13. These are world class events with some of the top names and teams in the sport, a great appetizer in anticipation of the main course, World Cup 2014.”
In 2011, SportsMax announced that they were awarded exclusive broadcast rights for FIFA World Cup through to 2022. The broadcast rights package also includes FIFA Under-20 and Under-17 youth World Cups, and the FIFA Women’s World Cups in 2015 and 2019.
