Prep for Success Recipes: Swedish Meatballs
Cayman Prep and High School have produced a book of multi-cultural family recipes that everyone
can enjoy.
It was made possible through the selfless efforts of the parents of Cayman Prep students who worked tirelessly to see the project through to fruition.

Meatballs:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 cup chopped cooked onion
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ cup cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 dash paprika
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- ¼ tsp. garlic salt
- 1 pinch dry mustard
- Approx. ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese (or enough to bind)
- Sauce ingredients
- 1cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
Meatballs:
1. Mix all the ingredients together and form into ¾ balls.
2. Fry in vegetable oil, turning frequently, until browned and cooked through.
Sauce:
1. In a large saucepan, mix all the ingredients together; bring to a boil.
2. Add cooked meatballs; simmer covered for 1 hour.
3. Serve with toothpicks.
