Minister & Councillor meet with CEOContinuing with their departmental visits, Hon. Tara Rivers, Minister for Education, Employment and Gender Affairs (the “Ministry”) and Mr. Winston Connolly, Councillor for the Ministry, recently visited the Department of Education Services (DES).  They had a chance to meet with the Chief Education Officer to discuss the role of the department and then were taken on a tour to meet a number of the departmental staff.

Commenting on their visit, Minister Rivers said, “It’s important that Councillor Connolly and I meet with the departments that fall under the Ministry, to understand their responsibilities, workings and issues they face so that we can all work together to improve the services provided to the public.  I thank the Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Wahler, and her staff for accommodating us and I look forward to further departmental meetings in the future.”
