“Meet & Greet” with Orlando Magic Captain Jameer Nelson
As the Cayman Islands continues to garner a reputation as a sports tourism destination in the Caribbean, Camana Bay’s popular Orlando Magic Basketball Camp adds another name to the Islands’ host of recent international sports star visitors.
In addition to a week of professional instruction from NBA youth coaches, aspiring hoop stars will spend one day training with professional basketball player Jameer Nelson, the Orlando Magic’s team Captain and Point Guard. The camp aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and teamwork amongst Cayman’s youth while providing a one-of-a-kind opportunity for young sports fans.
Nelson started his professional career in 2004, when he was drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. Nelson was traded to the Orlando Magic, where he has played for his entire professional career, earning prestigious titles including NBA All-Star (2009) and NBA All- Rookie Second Team (2005).
You will be able to see the sports star in action as well.
