A teenager has appeared in court accused of the murder of Asher McGaw.

Chakane Jameile Scott is accused of murder, possession of an illegal firearm and possession of ammunition.

Mr McGaw, 21, died on 22nd September in East End.

His body was found by police officers in the early hours on John McLean Drive.

Defending solicitor, Lucy Organ, made an application for bail but it was denied.

Magistrate Valdis Foldats remanded Scott in custody until his next appearance on 14th October at the Grand Court.
