About the Golden Apple Awards: First introduced in 2007, the Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching seeks to recognise educators for their outstanding dedication and commitment to the teaching profession, often going beyond lesson plans to ensure that students are able to succeed. Nominations are open to the public and scores tabulated by an independent judging panel. The initiative culminates with an awards evening where Ministry officials, Chamber representatives, nominees, their colleagues, family and friends are specially invited.
About the Chamber: The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce was established in 1965 and is a non-profit organisation that exists to support, promote and protect member businesses and the wider community. The Chamber represents close to 700 businesses and associations from every major industry sector across the Islands.
