International Playwriting Competition 2013-14 now open for entries
The competition, now in its fourth year, is open to writers of any age, any level of experience and from any country. It aims to encourage new writing for young performers and audiences around the world.

Categories and Prizes
Plays for Young Performers
One-act plays suitable for performers aged 11 years and under
Plays for Teenage Audiences
One-act plays suitable for audiences aged between 12 and 16 years
Prizes
Winning plays in each category:
Cash prize of £1,000 for the winning playwright in each category
Travel to London for the winning playwright in each category to see their play performed as part of Trinity’s International Festival of Playwriting and Performance in May 2014
The winning plays will be published in a collection of the best plays from the competition, with international distribution
Up to six Highly Commended plays:
Cash prize of £500
Highly Commended plays will be published in a collection of the best plays from the competition, with international distribution
Up to six Most Promising Young Playwright awards
(for entrants aged 15 years and under):
Special awards of £100 will be made to the young playwrights who show the most potential in their writing
