The 28-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the death of Perry Steven McLaughlin has been charged and is due in court.

She has been charged with murder and is expected to appear in court later this morning, Wednesday 6 November. The court appearance will take place on Grand Cayman.

 

UPDATE: Man found deceased at his residence in Little Cayman

At around 7am this morning police in Little Cayman responded to a call from an employee who stated that he was unable to contact his employer this morning. On checking his residence he found his employer dead at his residence. The circumstances suggest he was fatally wounded.

The scene was secured and cordoned by the officers on Little Cayman and additional officers from Cayman Brac responded to assist. The Police helicopter was utilised in transporting a senior investigating officer and a Scenes of Crime officer from Grand Cayman to process the scene and commence enquiries.

Police have arrested the female partner of the deceased on suspicion of murder.

The deceased is one 54yr. old Perry Steven Mclaughlin, a local business man and resident of Little Cayman.

The death is believed to be of a domestic nature, however the RCIPS continue with enquires.

The RCIPS extends its condolences to the family and friends in the death of Mr. McLaughlin.

Police are asking for anyone who may have seen Mr McLaughlin anytime last night and early this morning to contact Detective Inspector Lavine at 526-0661 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TiPS

Police are on the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male found at his residence in Little Cayman.

One female has been detained. A further update will follow.

House Fire-one arrested

UPDATE: House Fire-Man bailed

Further to our previous release, the 37-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the fire in Cruz Lane on Saturday has been released on police bail while investigations continue.

This morning at approximately 8:14 am 911 dispatched Police and Fire Dept. to a fire at a small apartment complex on Cruz Lane, George Town.

The fire was extinguished by Fire Department and no one was injured.

One male has been arrested on suspicion of Arson and remains in police custody.
