Panel discussion on Chrissy
The Ministry of Education, Employment & Gender Affairs, the Consul of Barbados and producers of the movie Chrissy have announced a Panel Discussion on the message and motivation behind the movie Chrissy being premiered in the Cayman Islands at Camana Bay Cinema.
The Panel Discussion will take place on Thursday, 3 October 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Government Information Services, 2nd Floor, Government Administration Building.
Participants are:
Juliette Gooding, Honorary Consul to Barbados and Chairperson of the Chrissy Planning Committee
Hon. Tara Rivers, Minister of Education, Employment & Gender Affairs
Marcia Weekes, Producer of the movie Chrissy
Winston Hayle, President of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman and committee member
Miriam Foster, Programme Coordinator, Family Resource Centre and movie endorser
Background: Chrissy is a film that goes beyond the purpose of entertainment to educate its viewers on the issues of poverty, race relations and most of all, bullying. It has left lasting impressions on viewers in Barbados, Jamaica, Antiqua, New York, Atlanta and Canada.
