CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship Draw and Logo unveiling set for Monday, October 7
MIAMI (Tuesday, October 1, 2013) – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) is pleased to announce the official draw and logo unveiling for the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship Jamaica 2013, to take place on Monday, October 7. The draw will be conducted at 11 am EST (10 am Jamaica) at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The draw, which will sort the eight finalists into two groups of four, will be presided over by CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb and carried out by General Secretary Enrique Sanz. Seven teams from across the region will join host Jamaica for the Championship, to be played from October 30 to November 9, in search of one of the region’s two tickets to the 2014 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup to be hosted in Costa Rica.
Representatives of the eight participating teams set to participate in the Championship – Canada, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United States — will be on hand for the live event, and available to media members at the conclusion of the draw.
