KINGSTON, Jamaica – Antigua and Barbuda earlier this week issued stamps designed to commemorate Nelson Mandela in Memorial 1918-2013. They went on sale at the General Post Office on Monday.

The Caribbean Times reported that the stamps are featured on two sheetlets comprising six stamps at a cost of $2.50 per stamp or $15 per sheetlet.

Also available are two souvenir sheets, comprising one stamp at a cost of $9 per sheet or a $13.50 stamp, a statement from the Post Office said.

The stamps will remain on sale until March 16, 2014, unless stocks are exhausted sooner, the Caribbean Times reported.

Caribbean Times reported that the statement also said no first day covers will be available but that members of the public who wish to prepare their own, may have these date stamped ‘First Day of Issue’ at the General Post Office.
