Katharine and another great white named Betsy were tagged by the global shark tracking firm, Ocearch, off the coast of Cape Cod last August.
Ocearch, is a non-profit organization that catches, tags, and monitors the sharks to help other researchers gather data for studies of the predators. The Ocearch website allows you to track Katharine, Betsy, and other tagged sharks around the globe in near real-time.
Earlier this year, a rare goblin shark was also spotted in the Gulf of Mexico.
