A new term for Walkers Art Clubs at Cayman Islands National Gallery
Registration for the popular National Gallery after schools programme “Walkers Art Club”, sponsored by Walkers Global, opens on Monday, 24 August 2015 at 9:00 AM, with spaces allocated on a first come first served basis.
Now in its eleventh year, the well-established art programme offers six free weekly art classes to children living in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, following a year-long curriculum that is designed to supplement school arts programming and to introduce students to local and international art.
Twenty spaces are available for each of the WAC programmes: Walkers Art Club Primary Grand Cayman (ages 7 — 9), Walkers Art Club Primary Cayman Brac (ages 7 — 12), Walkers Art Club Secondary (ages 10 -12), and Walkers Art Club Teens (for GCSE and CXC examination support). Due to the popularity of the programme, spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis and students need to commit to the full year. Registration can be completed by email or in person at the National Gallery. NGCI is unable to accept forms before 9:00 AM on 24 August 2015 and children cannot be registered without a completed form. If classes are full, students with completed registration forms will be placed on a waiting list and accepted into the programme when spaces become available. Classes are scheduled to resume the week of September 14.
Walkers Art Club Pre-schoolers and Parents, which is run as a weekly drop-in session at 10:30 AM on Fridays, and Walkers Art Club Lighthouse on Tuesdays, will also resume that week.
Please contact the National Gallery by emailing [email protected] or by contacting Kerwin Ebanks on (345) 945-8111 if you would like a registration form to be emailed to you. Alternatively, forms will be available to pick up from the National Gallery or to download on the National Gallery website from Friday 21 August.
