A Tale of Treachery, Piracy and Murder
This free event will be helped from 7pm on Tuesday November 15th and will include an author presentation and audience discussion followed by a book signing.
His novel is set in 1922 when the Cuban Trading Schooner Juana Mercedes embarked on a journey that led her into a web of treachery, piracy and multiple murders off the Cayman Islands coast.
Cayman Cross is a fascinating and sometimes poignant tale of treachery and justice, perseverance and friendship, faith and family. It is a must read for all Caymanians, especially those with a love of history, adventure, mystery and suspense.
Mr Scott said: “I am the first born American son in a long line of Caymanians dating back several centuries in the Sister Islands. Having grown up the son of a sea captain, my youth was steeped in great old seafaring stories and legends. As a young man, I went to sea myself, but my father pushed and inspired me to take up a career in law.
“I have spent a great deal of time in Cayman visiting extended family and I believe my love for the Islands is reflected in this novel. I like to think that I still have Cayman salt in my blood.”
