Alligator gobbles turtle
Big-ass alligator gobbles big-ass turtle at Florida golf course
By Sam Laird From Mashable
Earlier this month, we brought you the story of the big-ass alligator that took over a Florida golf course.
Now that same course has shared another run-in with a gargantuan gator, this time showing the circle of life at work right there on the links.
Myakka Pines Golf Club posted photos to Facebook on Thursday morning, showing a gator locals have dubbed “Goliath” chomping down a turtle for breakfast.
RIP, little buddy.
On March 7, the course shared a photo of a massive alligator (no word on whether it’s Goliath or a different gator) casually strolling across the green on the seventh hole.
Myakka Pines’ general manager, Mickie Zada, said earlier this month that gator sightings at the course are quite common.
“If it’s really cold, you might not see one,” Zada told ESPN.com. “But if there’s any sunshine at all, it would be impossible for you to play 18 and not see a gator.”
Word to the wise: If you do see a gator on the links, don’t pester it to let you play through. You just might end up like that poor turtle.
