Antigua police probe suspicious death of teenager

The Police are now labeling the death of 18 year old Alana Lloyd of Jennings New Extension as suspicious.
Lloyd’s lifeless body was found laying on her bedroom floor around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, October 3, with an electrical cord tied around her neck and was pronounced dead about two hours later.
The incident was first being treated as a suspected suicide; however, the police are now awaiting an official autopsy results before they determine the next steps into the matter which left her community and the entire nation in shock.
Last evening a young man was allegedly being questioned by police about the suspicious death of the teenager.
The young man was heard on a voice Note, which has been circulating via WhatsApp, blaming himself for what happened to the 18 year old.
In a Facebook post shortly after, he posted a status stating “Baby we gonna be together in a sec,” which appeared to be him threatening to end his own life.
Friends then began replying with messages dissuading the man from doing anything drastic.
The police said that they are intensifying their probe into the death of the teenager.
