Robbery
At 11:38pm Thursday 16th October 2014, police at the George Town Police Station received a report of a robbery at a West Bay Road Restaurant.
Two dark skinned males with shirts covering their heads entered the kitchen of Coconut Joe’s, armed with dark hand guns. The robbers demanding cash from the register and threatened customers with the hand guns stealing cash, wallets and jewelry. They were at least eight patrons in the establishment at the time.
Detectives from RCIPS, Drugs and Serious Crime Task Force (DSCTF) are investigating this incident and anyone who was in the area at the time, observing anyone suspicious around 11:30pm – 11:40 pm, should contact George Town CID on 949-4222, the RCIPS tip-line 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers on 800 8477(TIPS).
Burglary
On Thursday 16th October 2014, three residential burglaries were reported in the districts of George Town, West Bay and Bodden Town respectively, these burglaries occurred between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm. Cash and jewelry were reported stolen. A Bar on Shedden Road, George Town also reported a burglary after 7:30am where a cash register was stolen.
This incident is under investigation by detectives from the George Town – CID.
