Arrest in stabbing incident in George Town on 5 May

Police have arrested a male, age 17, of West Bay, on suspicion of attempted murder and drug offences.
The arrest is in connection to a serious assault outside Bananas bar and restaurant in the early hours of Thursday 5th May. He remains in police custody while investigations continue.
The victim received multiple stab wounds during the attack and was treated at the Cayman Islands Hospital, but has subsequently been released.
The police are still appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward by contacting George Town CID at 949-4222. Stabbing in George Town in Early Morning Hours Today, 5 May
Just before 3AM this morning, 5 May, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report of a stabbing in the car park of Bananas Bar in Dolphin Centre on Eastern Avenue. Officers responded to Cayman Islands Hospital, where the victim had arrived in a private car. The victim, a male, age 30, suffered multiple stab wounds and remains in hospital in stable condition.
The man was reportedly attacked by two males who had also been in Bananas bar before the stabbing took place.
