Asia’s Pathway to Carbon Neutrality:
Government and Corporate Leadership
Jan 16, 2024 (Tue) | Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel
We are proud to present Asia Sustainability Conference 2024, brought to you by the South China Morning Post.
The world is envisioning to reach carbon neutrality as early as 2030, with most Asian countries setting their net-zero targets to 2050 and China, one of the globe’s largest economies and carbon emitters, is targeting 2060. Amid these ambitious goals, Asia remains home to half of the top ten emitters globally and extremely vulnerable to climate change. To transit fast enough and mitigate the climate risk, China alone would need an extra US$6.5 trillion to finance its green efforts and 2060 target. The Post’s Asia Sustainability Conference aims to be a platform for regular policy review and debate, while assessing efforts and resources paying towards Asia’s carbon neutrality by both public and private sectors.
Join us on January 16, 2024, at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel as we discuss:
- Funding the green giants: mobilising capital for decarbonisation
- The green panda: China 2060 vision
- Consumer awakened: the rise of circular economy and low-carbon economy
- Closing the loop: collaborative sustainability strategies for a greener future
