Assemblage documentary screening at NGCI
Contemporary artist Vik Muniz takes us on an emotional journey from Jardim Gramacho, the world’s largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, to the heights of international art stardom.
Vik collaborates with the pickers of recyclable materials- true Shakespearean characters who live and work in the garbage- to make vibrant, complex portraits.
There will be two screenings at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (NGCI) on Thursday July 18th at 12.30pm and 6.30pm.
Both screenings are FREE.
