Athena grows in Cayman
Athena International Management, an independent directorship services provider in the Cayman Islands, has expanded its corporate governance team for the second time in the last six months.
Bill Fleury, a financial services expert with more than twenty-five years of financial services experience providing audit, administration, compliance and other operational services to the alternative investment fund and captive insurance industries, has joined Athena’s independent directors team in the Cayman Islands.
Managing Director Allison Nolan welcomed Bill to the group: “Bill is highly experienced and client-service oriented. As a boutique service provider to the investment funds industry, we aim to deliver consistently excellent and personalised client service and we feel that Bill will be the ideal person to carry this corporate culture of distinction forward.”
Bill has worked in senior roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers in both Toronto and the Cayman Islands, Fidelity Investments (Canada), UBS and Butterfield Fund Services. Most recently, Bill was the General Manager and COO of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Pension Plan, one of the jurisdiction’s largest multi-employer pension providers.
Bill holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as well as a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.
