At 10:13pm on Monday 20 April 2015 , officers from George Town Police Station received a report of a robbery on Bamboo Street, Prospect, George Town.

Owners of a local business returned to their home on Bamboo Street, when two males with their faces covered approached them with a firearm in their possession. On seeing this the female ran inside the home and the husband swung at the accused persons before they fled on foot discharging a shot.

The accused persons are described as being around 5’ 11” wearing dark clothing including a black hoodie and the other male, around 5’ 2” wearing dark clothing , black hoodie, black gloves and a white cloth over his face.

No property was reportedly stolen and no one was injured. The matter is under investigation by detectives from George Town – CID.
