A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery as he tried to flee the country.

Police swooped at Owen Roberts International Airport on Tuesday morning.

A RCIPS spokeswoman said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. The arrest took place as the man was attempting to leave the country.”
