Dan Wright has joined CIBC FirstCaribbean as the Director of Private Wealth Management in its Wealth Management Senior Leadership Team.

In this role, Wright will be initially based in Cayman Islands office.

Wright is a veteran wealth management and private banking executive. Recently, he worked as SVP and Head of International Wealth Management at Bank of Nova Scotia. There he led wealth management business in Caribbean, Latin America and Asia. He also worked as Chair of BNS trust company in Bahamas and as a Director of several Caribbean based businesses in Cayman Islands and Jamaica. In those positions, he developed and implemented strategy for wealth management group of businesses globally as well as managed wealth management professionals worldwide in several disciplines. He has also worked as original member of executive team developing strategy for domestic Wealth Management division in Canada.

Dan will be leading the implementation of our new strategy to deliver a holistic advisory service to Private Wealth Management clients of CIBC FirstCaribbean regionally and internationally. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles that were for very similar regional geographies to our own, which makes me very confident he can provide a very compelling offer to our most valuable private banking client, said Mark Young, Managing Director of Wealth Management at CIBC FirstCaribbean.
