Bauhu launch range of hurricane resistant homes for the Caribbean
(PRESS RELEASE) – The CARIBBEAN COTTAGE COLLECTION are modular homes, designed for the Caribbean.
Modular homes are built in a factory, and then delivered to site in sections.
This makes them VERY fast to assemble.
The building is made of steel, which is strong.
The kit is made in a factory and delivered in sections so it can be erected in under 2 weeks.
The structure is engineered to withstand two hundred and fifty kilometres per hour winds.
The building envelope is watertight and airtight.
The windows and doors are fitted with impact resistant glass.
All the building materials are completely termite proof, and fixings are stainless steel.
The outer wall panels are made in multiple layers, each performing a specific function.
They are packed with insulation, reducing energy consumption.
A special, hurricane resistant outer cladding protects not only against impact, but also provides fire resistance up to two hours.
The patented, multi-layer, interlocking wall panel cladding system meets the stringent Miami-Dade County, Florida NOA criteria for impact resistance, air and water infiltration, and wind load resistance.
All of the building components are recyclable.
The complete home fits inside one 40’ shipping container.
A home can be ready for delivery in as little as eight weeks.
The kitchen, bathroom and all finishes are included
There are four versions of home offering one, two and three bedrooms.
