Bedell Cristin supports relay race in Cayman Islands Marathon
Bedell Cristin, recently merged with Solomon Harris, is sponsoring the relay race in this year’s Cayman Islands Marathon, taking place this Sunday, 2 December.
The Cayman Islands Marathon, now in its 15th year, continues to raise much-needed funds for worthy causes, such as the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps, and Bedell Cristin is honoured to be sponsoring the event and to help raise funds for these amazing charities.
The event consists of a full marathon, half marathon, 4-person relay and a Kids Fun Run, and takes place on the beautiful Caribbean island of Grand Cayman, surrounded by tropical flora and fauna and magnificent views of the sea.
As part of its further support to the event and its charitable partners, Bedell Cristin will provide fluorescent LED armbands for each competitor to help runners stay safe and be seen on the roads in Grand Cayman and further afield.
In addition to entering a team in the relay event, eight members of the Solomon Harris/Bedell Cristin team are taking part in the half marathon distance, and many other staff members will be volunteering at the event.
Sophia Harris, managing partner of Solomon Harris (now part of Bedell Cristin), said: “The Cayman Marathon is always extremely popular – it brings the community together and encourages people to be active. We have many runners in the office and are aware that safety is of paramount importance when out training in the dark. That’s why we wanted to offer something to help people stay safe when exercising.
“We are delighted to sponsor the relay teams at this year’s event, and we wish all runners the best of luck.”
