It is with much sadness and a terrible shock to announce the death today (13) of West Bay resident and Caymanian Bessie Ebanks. Mrs. Ebanks is survived by her husband, Benson Ebanks, former MLA and Cabinet minister. Bessie was much loved by everyone.

The funeral service for Bessie Ebanks will be held on Saturday 19th May at 10.00 am at John Gray Memorial Church, West Church Street, West Bay.

Because of the funeral the following road closures will be in place between 8am and 12 noon on Saturday 19 May in West Bay:

1. West Church Street at the four way stop.

2. Southbound traffic on West Church Street will be diverted onto Elizabeth Street
