BMW Group Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean will benefit the region by restructuring the organization under a regionalization scheme.

Mexico City, April 4th, 2018.- BMW Group’s success has always been based on thinking for the long-term and, under such scheme, the Group has implemented a series of operation plans that have strengthen and benefitted Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean region. Under this philosophy, the Group announces changes to the organization aimed to strengthen and promote the business of the Company.

Hernando Carvajal will take office as Marketing Director for BMW in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; Arturo Orenday and Thomas Kramer will report Hernando Carvajal. Arturo Orenday will takes office as Head of Brand, Communication and Events for BMW in the region mentioned above; and Thomas Kramer will takes office as Head of Product and Price for BMW Group in such region. Hernando Carvajal joined the company in 2001; before his current position, he was Sales Director in the company for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ricardo Humphrey will have the function of MINI Director for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; and Carlos Sheridan, as part of the team, will take office as Head of MINI for Latin America and he will report directly to Ricardo. The former responsibilities of Ricardo Humphrey were focused on the Mexican market, but with this restructuration, his functions will be widened to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Diego Camargo worked as Aftersales Director for BMW Group Mexico and now his responsibilities will also include Latin America and the Caribbean. Diego Camargo has worked for BMW Group for 10 years, he has provided technical training to the company’s staff in Central America and Latin America.

It is worth mentioning that these changes do not represent any alteration to the current regional structure of Dr. Alexander W. Wehr leading the company as President and CEO of BMW Group for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; supported by the leadership team: Antonio Antela, CEO for importers in the Latin America and the Caribbean region; Rolf Epp, CEO for BMW Group Argentina; José María Villalobos, CFO, Compliance and Management for BMW Group Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; Dirk Biehler, Sales Channel Development and Customer Relations Director for BMW Group Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; Michel Goudet, BMW Motorrad Director for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean; Guillermo Areas, Government and Foreign Affairs Director for Latin America and the Caribbean; Carlos Gutiérrez, Government and Foreign Affairs Director for BMW Group Mexico; and Vladimir Mello, Corporate Communication Director for BMW Group Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
