Police were at the scene of a disturbance in Bodden Town.

A man had climbed on the roof of the primary school and refused to come down.

Officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service were at the scene and along with fire crews and paramedics.

It is understood he had threatened to damage the school or even set it on fire.

Witnesses say he has built some sort of shelter from plywood on the top of the building.

The school is currently closed for mid-term break and police have stressed there are no children involved or in danger.

Eventually the man climbed down from the roof uninjured. Police said there was no damage caused.
