Police searching for missing teenager Justin Henry have confirmed a body has been found.
The 17-year-old had vanished after getting into difficulties in the sea off Pedro Castle on Monday evening.
Police Marine units and the force helicopter resumed the search for the youngster today. They were joined by around 40 members of the public.
But shortly before 9.30am officers recovered the body of a young man.
A spokesman for the RCIPS said: “At 9.26 this morning following an extensive search the body of a missing swimmer was recovered in the vicinity of Pedro Bluff. The circumstances surrounding the incident remains under investigation by the Police.
“The body of the missing swimmer has been identified as Justin Henry, 17 years old, of Rock Home, George Town.”
