Other celebrities earmarked for cameo appearances in “The Secret Service” include soccer star David Beckham and Grammy award-winners Elton John and Adele.

LONDON, England, Friday September 13, 2013 – Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt may be coming to a theatre near you in the not-too-distant future following word that he is being considered for a role in an upcoming action movie.

Veteran Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson spilled the beans in an interview with the BBC, during which he disclosed that multiple award-winning British actors Colin Firth and Michael Caine are among other likely cast members in the production.

Titled “The Secret Service,” the film is based on a Mark Millar comic book and will also feature soccer star David Beckham playing himself in the movie, according to Jackson.

The enduring American actor, best known for his roles in “Shaft” and “Pulp Fiction,” commented on celebrities from the world of sport breaking into the acting industry.

“The world has changed in such an interesting way, fame is more important sometimes now than acting ability in a certain way. So that will be one of the unique aspects of this film, that there’ll be people like David Beckham and hopefully Usain Bolt,” he said.

Other megastars tipped for cameo appearances in “The Secret Service” include Grammy award-winning singers Adele and Elton John.

To be directed by Matthew Vaughn, “The Secret Service” is scheduled to be filmed in London and other European cities.

The film is said to be one of several in which Bolt has been invited to appear, but his participation has been curtailed by the hectic schedule of an active athlete.

The world’s fastest man’s triumphs in the last two Olympics and World Championships and Diamond League series have earned him living legend status in track and field and international acclaim. This year, the iconic “lightning” Bolt made his debut on Forbes magazine’s prestigious annual Celebrity 100 list, sprinting in at number 48 on his first outing.
