Brac Burner Meet

Cayman Brac, February 2, 2016: The Sister Islands Swim Club held its first Burner Meet for 2016 on Saturday, January 31st, and first meet in many years, at the Government Pool in Stake Bay. Seventeen swimmers across the age groups of 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10 and Open, competed races in all four strokes of Butterfly, Back stroke, Breast stroke and Free style. At the end of the meet, the swimmers were eager to add freestyle relays to the afternoon of fun.

Swimmers were awarded ribbons by Coach Michael Hundt and President Kenny Ryan for their efforts. Coach Susan Hundt and parents of the Swim Club served as timers and record keepers for the day. The Sport Association of the Sister Islands sponsored pizza for those in attendance at the end of the meet.

The Club’s next big swim will be the CNB 800M Sea Swim on Saturday, April 9th in Cayman Brac. The Sea Swim is open to anyone who would like to participate.
