Brett Fraser was sixth in his heat in the 50 metres freestyle in 22.91 seconds at the London Olympics on Thursday.
Fraser did not advance to the semi-finals but has the satisfaction of being 32nd in the world in the event.
Brett and brother Shaune intend to continue swimming and hope to compete at the next Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
