Burglar chased by police and arrested

A 31-year-old man is currently in custody after being apprehended by police officers following a burglary on West Bay Road.
About 1.15pm today police received a report of a man exiting Cayman Sands Village, West Bay Road, in possession of a television and other property. Police immediately attended the scene and caught sight of the suspect running from the location. The officers chased the suspect on foot and arrested him on a nearby property. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and the property seized.

A man who lost consciousness while snorkeling is now at the Cayman Islands Hospital receiving medical treatment, thanks to the quick actions of his family, friends and two George Town police officers.
About 10.40am today the 84-year-old cruise ship passenger was snorkelling near to Paradise Restaurant, George Town, with his family and friends, when he appeared to get into difficulty and lost consciousness. His friends and family brought him to shore. Police officers immediately attended the location and administered CPR until the arrival of the paramedics.
The man is now being treated within the critical care unit of the Cayman Islands Hospital.
