Update on Water-related Death on Monday, 9 November
We are continuing our investigation into the water-related death of a Norwegian national, age 58, on Monday, 9 November. A man, age 41, visiting from Canada, who was also on board the boat that day with the deceased, was in stable condition after the incident and did not require medical attention. He is a witness in the case and cooperating with the investigation.
We will provide updates on the matter in the coming days.

Police are investigating the circumstances around a water related death which occurred yesterday evening, 9 November, near North Sound.
Accounts received thus far indicated that for reasons as yet to be determined, the 2 occupants of the vessel were thrown from a vessel at approximately 6pm or before and were in the water for a prolonged period of time without any one knowing or assistance being rendered.
Officers attended the scene near North Sound and found a 41yr old male and the body of a 58yrs old man onshore. The 58yr old man was transported to George Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing and updates will follow.
Woman in critical condition after being stabbed in neck

A woman is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the neck early Saturday (7) morning, police have said. Officers were called to the Dolphin Centre on Eastern Avenue in George Town at 4:22am after a 911 call about a stabbing in the area. When the police arrived, the victim was able to speak before becoming unconscious. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where she underwent surgery. Police did not give the age of the victim or any details of where she lives or how she received the serious knife wound.

Burglary suspects apprehended
On Saturday 7th November 2015 around 9:47 pm, 911 received a call from a female that two males had broken into her Apartment at Cayman Reef Resort and that they were fighting with her boyfriend. The caller also indicated that one of the intruders had a knife in his possession.
Uniform Officers and the X-Ray unit were immediately deployed. The two suspects were apprehended by the Police shortly thereafter while attempting to flee the scene via the beach.
The male suspects who were 21 and 19 years old were arrested for the offences of Aggravated Burglary, Possession of an offensive weapon and Possession & consumption of Ganja.
Both individuals remain in Custody.
Nothing was stolen during the Burglary nor were there any injuries reported.
