Butterfield is Bank of the Year
The Banker names Butterfield “Bank of the Year” in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands For Third Consecutive Year
Hamilton, Bermuda and George Town, Grand Cayman—4 December 2015: International banking industry publication, The Banker, today named The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited and Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited (collectively “Butterfield”) the recipients of its “Bank of the Year 2015” Awards in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. Butterfield was similarly named The Banker’s Bank of the Year in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands in 2013 and 2014.
The Banker, a Financial Times publication, is a highly regarded UK-based periodical that each year selects banks in over 100 countries to receive their Bank of the Year Awards. In making their selections, The Banker’s global editorial team considers not only a bank’s financial performance, but also strategic initiatives, innovative use of technology and service delivery channels, and efforts to extend banking services to all parts of the community. In addition to being named The Banker’s Bank of the Year, Butterfield was named Global Finance’s best bank in Bermuda in its 2015 selections of the World’s Best Developed Market Banks. Butterfield was also named Best Private Bank in Bermuda by Euromoney (2014), Global Finance (2015) and PWM/The Banker (2015). Butterfield Trust was named 2015 Trust Company of the Year at the tenth annual Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Private Client Awards.
