Grand Cayman – December 19, 2012 – In response to the His Excellency the

Governor’s decision on the future of our Legislative Assembly, the Coalition for

Cayman has released the following statement:

“We are pleased with His Excellency the Governor’s decision to move forward

with a minority government, protecting the order of our normal election process.

We are hopeful that the MLAs will unite behind the best interests of our Country

and work together to create solutions. With our elections in May, we have the

opportunity to begin a new era of independent-minded leadership, and to support

new leaders of integrity with the skills, character and willingness to make

personal sacrifices and serve for the good of our Country. This is what our

citizens deserve, and this is what it will take to return our Country to the Cayman

of opportunity that we all love.”

Coalition for Cayman says departure of Mckeeva Bush provides citizens an opportunity for positive change

 Grand Cayman – December 18, 2012 – Coalition for Cayman today said the decision of the Legislative Assembly to force the resignation of Premier McKeeva Bush is a step in the right direction for the Cayman Islands.

“We acknowledge the actions taken by the Legislative Assembly to effect Mr. Bush’s resignation as Premier.  We believe under the circumstances this change is in the best interest of the Country.        With the critical issues facing our Country, we hope that all current MLAs can now unite and devote their full thinking to solutions that benefit our people,” said Coalition for Cayman.

“Our Country, our people and our children deserve independent-minded leadership committed to doing what’s right for Cayman, with the ability to lead our Country back to sustainable success. We must not continue to settle for the lesser of two evils,” the Coalition for Cayman continued.

“Our positive hope for our Country is that we can come together and seize this opportunity. It’s time to begin a new era of independent-minded leadership, and to support new leaders of integrity with the skills, character and willingness to make personal sacrifices and serve for the good of our Country.
