Cabinet of the Cayman Islands – Post Meeting Summary
His Excellency the Governor Mr. Martyn Roper, OBE, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet held on Tuesday, 24th May, 2022 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.
All Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present. The Hon Premier acted on behalf of the Hon Minister for Financial Services, Commerce, Investment, Innovation and Social Development.
At this meeting Cabinet:
- Approved the purchase of Block 95B Parcel 160 Cayman Brac for preservation for the enjoyment of future generations and the purchase of Block 98D Parcel 6 Cayman Brac for public access to the sea;
- Approved the renewal of lease of storage at Highgrove Business Park Block 19E Parcel 27 (part) with the Crown as Tenant;
- Approved the purchase of Bodden Town East Block 44B Parcel 329 for intended access by the general public and dedication of a 30 foot vehicular Right of Way and purchase of Bodden Town East Block 44B Parcel 355 for intended access by the general public and dedication of a 30 foot vehicular Right of Way;
- Approved the following appointments to the Nursing and Midwifery Council: Annie K Price, Member, Rosanna Humphreys-Johnson, Member and Alexandria Johnson, Member;
- Reviewed and noted the Mental Health Commission Annual Report for the year 2021 and authorised the tabling of the Report at the next available sitting of Parliament;
- Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the Proceeds of Crime Act (2020 Revision);
- Noted the Financial Report for the period 1st January 2022 to 30th April 2022; and
- Noted the Cayman Islands’ Consumer Price Index Report: January to March 2022. Published by the Cabinet Office on Wednesday, 1st June, 2022. Guidance Notes:
