Dr. Imogen Bexfield brings her wealth of experience in specialised aesthetic treatments and dentistry to the dental practice.

Cayman Dental & Cayman Orthodontics opened its doors in Camana Bay over a year ago, and the expansive practice is still growing. The latest addition to the team is Dr. Imogen Bexfield, B.C.h.D., a general dentist who specialises in aesthetics treatments.

Offering treatments not seen on island before, using cutting-edge technology, Dr. Bexfield will balance her aesthetics treatments with general dentistry services. She will operate Camana Bay Aesthetics within the dental practice, offering aesthetics services three days a week.

“It’s exciting to bring these treatments to Camana Bay,” says Dr. Bexfield, who adds that aesthetics is a common area for dentists to get into given that their focus is purely ‘neck up’. “One example is PROFHILO®, a skin remodelling treatment that offers fantastic results, yet is non-invasive. It’s excellent for patients in their mid-thirties and up and uses pure hyaluronic acid that penetrates skin deeply to renew from within. Treatments are performed one month apart and can really make a huge difference.”

Dr. Bexfield also offers thread lifting, a non-surgical treatment that can have similar effects to a facelift, and a range of fillers and Botox treatments – including BOTOX® Cosmetic for medical needs, such as excessive sweating or migraines.

In her native London, England, Dr. Bexfield helped open 10 aesthetics clinics and returns there annually to train doctors in the treatments and to refresh her own skills and learn new treatments by attending ongoing training clinics. This speciality aesthetics service offers Cayman Dental & Cayman Orthodontics’ clients a one-stop shop for facial needs, particularly when combined with the practice’s visiting specialists including oral surgeons, periodontists and orthodontists.

“We have our own in-house lab, three hygienists, four dentists and a regular schedule of specialists who visit monthly,” explains Dr. Tom Lerikos, who, together with business partner Dr. Howard Ironstone, founded the clinic. “The addition of Dr. Imogen to our team is key for us as a speciality clinic who pride ourselves on offering our patients an exemplary level of service.”
