Camana Bay Aquatic Club celebrates new sponsorship from MaplesFS
Adding to an already impressive list of recent achievements, the Camana Bay Aquatic Club (“CBAC”) just announced its latest milestone. Last week, MaplesFS became CBAC’s first platinum sponsor, signing a two-year agreement that will assist the Club in a number of important areas.
“This has been an exciting year for our Club,” said CBAC President, Jeffrey Wight. “In addition to completing our first full season, we hosted our first local meet, competed in two international meets, launched the CBAC Open Water Series and sent swimmers to CARIFTA. We are delighted to end the season on such a high note and we look forward to working with MaplesFS over the coming years for the betterment of our Club.
Equally excited about the new partnership, MaplesFS CEO, Scott Somerville, said the Camana Bay Aquatic Club was an easy sponsorship choice. “The programme has grown from strength to strength over the past year, and its positive impact can be seen in the remarkable accomplishments of its swimmers and the continued advancement of the sport in Cayman. The Camana Bay Aquatic Club is providing a wonderful service to its members and the wider community and I am happy that MaplesFS is able to support their efforts.”
Mr. Wight went on to explain how the funds will be used. “As our membership continues to grow, this sponsorship will play a key role in furthering the training of our top training group, which has been fittingly renamed MaplesFS Select; assisting with our travel team expenses, which continue to grow as our swimmers qualify for more overseas meets; and supporting a scholarship programme that will benefit CBAC members in many different ways.”
If the turnout for last Saturday’s 2012/2013 Season Tryouts is any indicator, the Camana Bay Aquatic Club is heading towards even more successes, and as the team’s Year End Banquet draws near, coaches, swimmers and parents have much to celebrate.
