Carey’s Karma Closet consigns for CICC
Carey’s Karma Closet, a women’s designer consignment store, has again racked up another donation of almost $1,300 to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, along with continuous donations of clothing, through its ongoing philanthropic efforts.
The store carries new and gently worn designer clothing, shoes, bags and accessories at discounted prices. Carrying brand names such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi and Prada, the store is busy with loyal customers looking for something ‘new to them’.
The company’s tagline is ‘what goes around, comes around’ and through that message, have elected to offer those selling their clothing to contribute some or all of their 45 per cent share to the Crisis Centre, Cayman’s only women’s shelter.
Carey Burns, owner of Carey’s Karma Closet commented on their philosophy of giving: “we try to live our slogan in everything we do, be it recycling price tags, reclaiming furniture for the stores, or our commitment to the community through charitable contributions”.
Ania Milanowska-Sedgley, Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, was on hand to receive the latest donation. “We love working with Carey’s Karma Closet”, said Ania. “The concept of giving and sharing is important to us as an organisation and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with us”.
Carey’s Karma Closet is located at Buckingham Square and is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am to 6pm.
