Caribbean organizes first regional workshop on human resources
Some of the key areas during the meeting include an overview of the strategy for 2039, the relation with the one planned for 2030, the 2018-2020 Regional Action Plan, one of the four phases in which it is divided, and a review of the indicators of such strategy for 2030.
The workshop also aims to align the national education sector plans for that year and develop national action plans for the correct implementation.
The CARICOM 2030 Human Resources Development Strategy was approved by the 32nd Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) in March 2017, here, and subsequently endorsed by the 38th Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, in July 2017, in Granada.
As described in the 2030 Human Resources Development Strategy, the planning to implement the strategy will be addressed in four phases during the 2018-2030 period, beginning with a focus on the Regional Action Plan for the First Phase (2018-2020) that describes the priorities identified by COHSOD.
The Caribbean Development Bank provides technical and financial support for the organization of this workshop, and pledged to continue working for the implementation of the Human Resources Development Strategy.
