Caribbean resort tops Trip Advisor’s list of world’s 25 best all-inclusives

NEW YORK, United States, Thursday November 20, 2014 – The Caribbean gave a strong showing in Trip Advisor’s latest list of the world’s top 25 all-inclusive resorts, bagging the coveted first place as well as featuring prominently throughout the list.
Taking top spot was Cuba’s award-winning Royalton Cayo Santa Maria, one of two Cuban resorts to make the list, joined by its counterpart Melia Cayo Coco, which came in at No. 20.
The winning Royalton is an adults-only (18+) oceanfront resort said to deliver five-star treatment on a picturesque island located north of Cuba.
Guests are reportedly pampered with 24-hour room service, along with special menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, regardless of room category.
The resort’s “Stay at one, play at three” option also invites guests to use the facilities at Memories Paraiso Beach Resort and Memories Azul Beach Resorts nearby.
Amenities at the 122-suite all-inclusive resort include three a la carte restaurants offering wine with meals; three bars with all drinks (domestic beer, cocktails & select international brands); a personalised mini-bar, restocked daily; butler service by the pools and on the beach; watersports and beach entertainment; VIP amenities in bathroom, bathrobe and slippers; pillow menu, nightly turndown service and wellness centre.
Moving on to the Dominican Republic, five all-inclusive resorts in the Spanish speaking country secured places in the Trip Advisor top 25, while Jamaica nabbed two, and the Galley Bay Resort secured eighth place for Antigua.
Trip Advisor’s award winners were based on its members’ reviews and opinions of all-inclusive resorts around the world over the period August 1, 2013, through July 31, 2014.
