In view of the widespread COVID – 19 cases within our communities, The Pines Retirement Home tested all of its residents and a number of staff members on Friday 19th November 2021.

The results revealed that 10 residents and one staff member tested positive for the virus. Six of these 10 residents were unvaccinated.

We are working diligently with HSA, Dr. Lee, Dr. Williams, and The Pines Retirement Home Board of Directors to mitigate the effects of this outbreak on the residents and to ensure a favorable outcome for all concerned.

All family members of residents infected have been notified.

Further testing of all staff and residents is scheduled at 7:30am Saturday, 20th November 2021, at The Pines Retirement Home. 

Given these circumstances, no visitors will be allowed at the facility until further notice.
