From Chief Executive Director, The Pines Retirement Home
We have detected several positive cases of COVID-19 within The Pines. Four residents and three staff were found through routine Lateral Flow Testing (LFT).
The four residents have all been isolated to prevent further spread of the virus, and the three staff members were informed to isolate at home immediately.
Public Health will be conducting PCR tests over the next couple of days to confirm the accuracy of our in-house testing.
The facility remains closed to the public, and effective immediately (2 March) all visitation is cancelled.
The Pines apologises for any inconvenience this may cause, but we want to prevent any spread of the virus at all costs.
