Fabian Sangines

Grand Cayman, June 24, 2024 — Academy Sports Club is thrilled to announce the addition of Fabian Sangines as a new professional football coach. Sangines, who joined the club earlier this year, brings with him a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in coaching, particularly in the development of female footballers.

Sangines most recently served as Assistant Coach for the first division and U19 teams of BSC YB Women in the Swiss Women’s Super League. In this role he was pivotal in devising technical and tactical training sessions, providing individual attention to players, and fostering a strong team spirit. His dual role as Talent Manager at BSC YB Women also saw him closely managing young talents, conducting individual video analyses and implementing tailored learning plans.

Paul Byles, Head of Youth Development at Academy Sports Club, expressed his enthusiasm for Sangines’ appointment: “We are excited to welcome Fabian to our coaching team who has had an excellent first season at Academy. Sangines’ coaching journey includes impressive stints as Assistant Coach for the U21 Women’s team at FC Zürich, Head Coach for the U19 Women’s team at FC St. Gallen and roles with various other professional and youth teams. 

On his new role at Academy Sports Club, Sangines commented: “I am honored to join Academy Sports Club and am eager to contribute to the development of our players. Over the past few months I have experienced the club’s dedication to nurturing young talent and fostering a professional and supportive environment which is inspiring. I look forward to working closely with the team and helping each player reach their full potential.”

Sangines holds a Conmebol Pro coaching license and has completed advanced courses in scouting, game analysis, and methodology, underscoring his comprehensive understanding of football coaching and player development. He also speaks four languages.
