On Monday evening, 13 December, police received a report of an armed robbery which had taken place early that morning, around 05.50am, in the vicinity of Sheddon Road & Eastern Avenue, George Town.

A women was approached by two masked men, one of whom brandished a firearm.  The men robbed her of her back pack which contained a quantity of cash and personal items, before leaving the scene.  No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident. 

The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222
