Cayman: Botanic Park hosts fundraising garden tour Series

The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is pleased to announce its newest offering, A Garden Tour Series.

The Garden Tour Series will feature guest docents knowledgeable in specific flora and fauna found at the 65-acre property.

The introductory tour, hosted by Hannah Reid of www.BushGirlMedicine.com will be held on Saturday 10th October at 10:00 am. Guests will follow Miss Reid through the Woodland Trail and Heritage Garden and learn of the traditional and medicinal uses of Cayman’s native plants.

Garden Tours are CI$20 per person and are limited to 12 persons in each group, and funds raised will go toward the completion of the Children’s Garden at the Botanic Park.

The Park’s own horticulturist, Nick Johnson will also be hosting several of the Garden Tours within the bi-monthly series. Upcoming tour dates are as follows:

  • Sunday 18th October, 10:00 am
  • Sunday 1st November, 10:00 am
  • Sunday 15th November, 10:00 am
